JCJ Architecture appoints Donald Buenger as Design Principal to grow and diversify the firm’s Atlanta presence

Atlanta, GA.,- June 19, 2015 – As part of the company’s continued growth, JCJ
Architecture today announced its expanded footprint with the addition of its new Atlanta
office. The firm has also strategically hired Donald Buenger, AIA, LEED AP, to the role of
Design Principal to lead the new office and oversee business development activities in
the southeast region. He is also joined by Ken Rhyne, Principal who is instrumental in
leading the design efforts with many of the firm’s Native American clients.

“Our strategic partnerships and growing portfolio of work in the region made opening an
Atlanta office a natural next step in JCJ’s trajectory,” said Peter Stevens, President of
JCJ Architecture. “With nearly 80 years of experience, we value our past and our history
as a firm – but we also look forward and remain open to new opportunities and hires that
help us meet our goal of diversifying our practices and geographic scope.”

With the opening of a presence in Atlanta, JCJ will be in position to provide its existing
and future clients better access to project teams with a more centralized location. The
firm has conducted work in the region since 2002, with projects in Oklahoma, Texas,
Florida, Louisiana and Missouri. Current work includes the Choctaw Nation’s Cultural
Center in Durant, Oklahoma and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, as
well as projects for a diverse range of gaming, hospitality, civic, and mixed-use clients.

“Having lived and worked in Atlanta for over 25 years, I look forward to expanding such
a well-established firm’s presence into this dynamic region,” said Don Buenger, Design
Principal in JCJ’s new Atlanta office. “As an employee-owned firm, JCJ has a unique
and dedicated culture, something we will continue to maintain as we grow within the
market.”
