The design for Saratoga Gaming and Raceway, New York State’s first Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) venue, is a prime example of how gaming can re-invigorate an existing racing environment. The famed racetrack’s initial roll-out included 1,324 state-of-the-art video gaming machines, two restaurants, three full-service bars, a food court with a track-side open air patio, a gift shop and guest services.
Saratoga Casino and Raceway’s popularity has led to an expansion plan which significantly enhances guest gaming, entertainment and dining options, by offering patrons 400 new gaming machines, a two-story, highly-charged nightclub and a new 300-seat buffet.
The club, featuring two floors and two full-scale bars, is designed to host a number of entertainment possibilities such as live bands, disc jockeys, major sporting events and private parties. The expansion is inspired by the elaborate, local Victorian architecture inside and out, honoring the racetrack’s significant role in Saratoga’s rich history.
